CAREERS

Your Bachelor in Hospitality Management career outlook

For a successful career in hotel management, you need to develop a passion for service. If you have that, you’ll be able to take on a wide variety of challenging but rewarding roles in hospitality management, all according to your preference and interests. Whether you’re more interested in the financial side of business or in the service and front of house aspects, once you’ve graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, you’ll be able to work as…

Front Office Manager

When working as a front office manager, you’ll be busy with more than just hotel check-ins. As a full-on manager, you’ll need to attend to the professional development of your staff, assure that your hotel occupancy is as full as possible and also address guests’ complaints. You’ll need to work together with your team to offer guests the best possible experience, all while working as the link between the back office and the reception team.

Revenue Manager

Revenue managers focus on optimising the sales processes of hotels and other hospitality ventures. Their work involves developing pricing strategies, analysing sales data and statistics, managing reservation systems and planning and setting budgets for different business units. Revenue managers work closely with the front office and the sales team, with one clear goal in mind – to increase the profitability of each hotel room and reservation, regardless of the season.

Sales and Marketing Manager

As a sales and marketing manager, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing business plans, with a focus on increasing companies’ profitability and cash flow. You’ll need to take into account the budget you’re given, different media channels for marketing campaigns and cross-selling options that offer greater synergies between sales and marketing. You’ll have to focus your efforts on not only acquiring new customers, but also preserving existing ones, all while exploring new markets and expanding your company’s profile and global outreach.
